Decorating for Advent & Christmas on Saturday, November 30th @ 3:00 p.m.
Save the Date: Join us as we decorate the church on Saturday, November 30th for Advent and Christmas. We will start at 3:00 p.m.
Toys for Tots Collection thru December 12th
We are a collection site for Toys for Tots.

New toys and books may be brought to church and put in the collection box in the on Sunday mornings narthex.
Youth Group Bingo Event ~ Saturday, November 23rd 12:45 p.m.
The youth group is going to the Heritage Apartments to spend time with the residents and play Bingo. We will meet at the church at 12:45 p.m.

Please let Brenda know if your child will be attending so that she can make arrangements for transportation to the Heritage Apartments.
Youth Group Meeting ~ November 24th, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. @ the Van Daalwyk's home.
Rise Up Youth Group is open to students from 5th thru 12th grade and generally meets twice a month during the school year on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Some of our meetings are service projects or youth friendly events that may affect the day we meet. Check the calendar to confirm meeting dates and locations.

Most meetings are held at the home of Bob & Brenda Van Daalwyk. Address: N6939 Irish Road – Hilbert. Supper is prepared for all those in attendance.

We invite our youth and their friends to join us at these youth group meetings. Our Youth Group is open to all area youth. It is not necessary to be a member of Peace E & R Church to join the Youth Group.
Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service ~ Wednesday, November 27 - 7:00 p.m. @ Zion Methodist Church
The Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service will be held at Zion Methodist Church, N8893 Church Street, Forest Junction. Rev. Dr. Wesley Jacob will give the sermon.

Offering will go to Holy Family Food Pantry of Brillion
Youth Group Christmas Caroling ~ Sunday, December 8th @ 2:30 p.m.
Our youth group will be Christmas caroling and will deliver cookies to those that they visit on December 8th.

Please donate Candy and Christmas Cookies for them to give to the houses they visit while caroling.

After caroling the youth group will go to Bob & Brenda Van Daalwyk's home for food and fun. Please pick up the youth from the Van Daalwyk's home at 5:30 p.m.
Ladies Secret Pals Holiday Gift Exchange ~ Sunday, December 8, 2024 @ 10:30 a.m.
Crisis Response Team Meeting ~ Monday, December 9, 2024 @ 6:30 p.m.
All church members are invited to attend our meetings to gain a better understanding of what this team does. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please attend the meeting.

Current team members are encouraged to attend the meeting to stay up to date with emergency procedures and also to sign up for door coverage during the worship service and church events.

Crisis Team Directors are: Jeff Krueger, Bud Wieting, Dave Johnson, and Chad Lerche.
Love Packages ~ Collection of New & Used Christian Materials
We are collecting new and used Christian materials the Love Packages organization. Their vision is to see all of America’s excess Christian material placed on the mission fields of the world. A list of the items they are collecting is shown below. We have a collection bin in the Narthex for donated materials.
- Bibles - New or used, any translation, New Testaments or other portions, individual gospel booklets.
- Reference Material - Dictionaries, Bible dictionaries, concordances, commentaries, etc.
- Books - All Christian books; adult or children, non-fiction
- Magazines and Daily Devotionals - Any devotionals or magazine from a Christian publisher
- Sunday School Materials - Adult quarterlies and all teacher manuals in any amount from all publishers; children’s quarterlies with the teacher’s manual and full student manuals.
- CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray - Music, movies, teaching from well-known speakers (Billy Graham, Swindoll, etc.)
- Tracts - All tracts
- Puppets, Nativity Sets, etc. - Bible games, biblical puzzles; anything that helps teach the gospel, especially to children.
Still not sure? We essentially have two criteria for deciding what material we accept: Something that will lead someone to faith in Christ and/or something that will disciple a believer. If your material does one of those things, send it.

- Handiwork or busy papers from Sunday School materials
- Secular books (other than dictionaries)
- Missions magazines
Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gifts ~ Shipping Sponsors Needed for 2024
The shipping cost this year is $10 per box and we plan to have 600 shoebox gifts this year. Please consider becoming a shipping sponsor.

Donations may be put in the offering plate, mailed to the church, or made through our website online giving. Note “shoebox gifts” in the memo.

Checks should be made out to - "Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church" or "PERC".  We will issue one check to pay the shipping to Samaritans' Purse. Thank you!
Volunteer at the Shoebox Processing Center in Aurora, IL. ~ Friday, December 13, 2024
Friday, December 13th

Scheduled Volunteer Time - 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The trip is open to our youth and adults. For safety purposes, the Processing Center requires all volunteers be 13 years of age or older.

Anyone interested in going should contact Brenda Van Daalwyk or Jeanne Axelrod to volunteer and to arrange transportation.
Adult Sunday School ~ 10:10 a.m. In the Pastor's Office
Class meets in Pastor Marc's office following the worship service. Studying the Book of Mark.
Women's Bible Study Group ~ Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Join us for Season 4 of "The Chosen" series. A Christian TV series that explores the life of Jesus Christ through the perspective of those who interacted with him. We use a study guide that accompanies the series.
Confirmation Classes ~ Wednesdays 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Our Confirmation process is a two-year program. Students are eligible to begin confirmation when they enter the 7th grade and are confirmed after completing two years in the program. Classes are led by Pastor Marc Axelrod and Jeanne Axelrod.

Parent/Student Orientation - Wednesday, September 4th at 6:30 p.m.

Classes begin on September 11th and run through April on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.

Materials for our 2024-2025 Confirmation classes will be posted to this website once they are approved by Pastor Marc.

Mom's Book Study Group - Thursdays @ 6:00 p.m.
This group is studying "Open Hands Willing Heart", by Vivian Mabuni. Contact Tara Bruckner for details.
2nd Timothy Bible Study ~ Fridays at 3:00 p.m.
Join us for Bible study on Friday afternoons at 3:00 p.m. as we examine the Book of 2nd Timothy.
Saturday Breakfast & Bible Study Group ~ 7:00 a.m. on select Saturdays ~ Book of Deuteronomy
Join us for breakfast, fellowship and Bible study. We meet at 7 Angels restaurant in Chilton on select Saturdays. The dates are listed on our calendar and in the church announcements.

This group is in the Book of Deuteronomy and studies one chapter each time they meet. Pastor Marc will bring printed copies of the study questions with him to the breakfast. Study questions are also available on this website under the Bible Lessons tab.
Election of New Consistory Member at the January 26, 2025 Annual Meeting
Whitney Zieger hase served on the consistory for the past six years. We would like to thank her for their service and dedication to the church while serving on the consistory.

We will elect a new member to our Church Consistory at the Annual Meeting on January 26, 2025.

Our Consistory members are elected to a three year term and have oversight and jurisdiction of the congregation and all its organizations. The members of the consistory also hold offices within the church; President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Consistory Secretary, Communion Steward and Member at large. The consistory meets once a month to discuss church matters and finances. They also serve the elements for communion as needed each month.

Members of Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church of Potter are encouraged to serve on our church's consistory. If you would like information or are interested in serving, please contact a current Consistory Member or Pastor Marc. The eligibility requirements are shown below.

By Laws – Section XIII. Elections, Article 1.

A majority vote cast at the annual congregational meeting shall elect members of the consistory. They shall be elected for a term of office of three years. One Elder and one Deacon are to be elected each year. All elections shall be by ballot. To be eligible for any office in the congregation, the candidate shall have been a member of the congregation for at least 1 year and must be 21 years of age or over.
